Tennille/Sandersville, Georgia

Well I guess I'll start off buy saying we did have to make our little trip for Adam's work and it ended up being a blessing in disguise! Adam had to drop a couple sets of tickets off in Atlanta but realized his home town of Sandersville was only 2 hours away and of course that made our trip totally worth it! Adam was so excited to take Garrett & I all around the little town he grew up in, the schools he went to, the house he lived in, And probably his favorite his childhood friend Joseph's parents house for lunch! But as excited as Adam was I was so overwhelmed! I had the best time visiting the places that made my husband the man he is today and to see him light up as stories bombarded him with each and every place we visited! It made me so proud to call myself his wife! Now please bare with me I took lots of pictures!(if you double click on the picture it will enlarge!)

We had to stop in South Carolina for gas and Garrett felt like it was his turn to drive!

Welcome to Tennille/ Sandersville, Georgia!

The first stop on our little journey was Adam's childhood home in Tennille, Georgia

D.D Crawford was Adam's primary school (kindergarten - 2nd grade) And how sweet the play ground that Adam played on as a child! We wanted to let Garrett play but it was to rainy!

Adam's elementary school (3rd - 5th grade)

I've heard many stories that took place inside this building...the saying "if these walls could talk" comes to mind! below is a picture of Adam his brother Eric and his sister Georgi's names in bricks that are placed around the flag pole of the middle school.

Now to Adam's favorite part of the whole trip visiting with Joseph and his family! Mr. Brent & Ms. Kathy thank you for the meal and fellowship but most of all thank you for being a second family to Adam! You hold a big piece of Adam's heart! I have to say I haven't heard a story yet that hasn't had your family somewhere in it! I'm blessed to finally have gotten to meet you!

Garrett & Joseph playing! It was an honor to finally meet the reason for all the funny stories I've heard of Adam's childhood! Joseph thank you again for all you do to keep our country safe! We'll be praying for you!

Our last stop on our little journey was my father-n-laws old plant. Thank you Dave for all your hard work! I know Adam & I don't think you and Wynne enough for all your support emotionally, spiritually & and God knows financially! We Love you!

Garrett, mommy & daddy can't thank you enough for being such a good boy during all that traveling!!!

What a Day...

Today has been absolutely crazy and it's only 1:00! We had pictures scheduled today but it looks like those are going to have to wait....it looks like some problems happened at Adam's work and we may be taking a little trip! It's a bummer because we've been so excited about this photo shoot (it's been forever since I've had Garrett's pictures taken) and we were going to try Chucky Cheese for the first time! Oh well... daddy needs our support! Since Garrett was already kinda dressed we had a little photo shoot of our own!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope all of you had as good of a Thanksgiving as we did! This was our first Thanksgiving married and that made it extra special! We went to Nana & Poppy's house and celebrated with Adam's aunt JC and uncle Fred, cousins Anna & Grady! We stuffed ourselves with Turkey, ham, corn, collards, fried cornbread, homemade cranberry jam & pies! It was amazing! Afterwards all the boys played and the girls were entertained by Garrett and boy was he in rare form! He danced and sang and just put on a show! Just watching him make everyone laugh made me realize that I have so much to be thankful for!

Garrett putting on a show for everyone!

Garrett going night...night with his Grady! If you would keep Grady in your prayers today he went into surgery this morning on this broken jaw and won't get out til around 3.

Garrett & his Da Da on their first Thanksgiving together!

1st Haircut!

Today we decided to go ahead and get Garrett's 1st haircut! He did have some what of a mullet going on! He did a great job! No tears but it wasn't his favorite thing to do either! He kept on wanting to see what was going on behind him! So mommy and daddy tired to entertain him as much as possible with combs, magazines, a bottle nothing really worked so I held him while she cleaned up the back. It looks very good but it's kinda sad because he really looks like a big boy now!

Garrett waiting patiently to get his very 1st haircut!

Left:Before.....baby curls Below:After....looking sharp

Garrett mommy & daddy are very proud of you!

split/household!

My husband the ticket broker got us some more tickets to another basketball game! I know that sounds sarcastic but we have been to quite a few basketball games lately! But when he told me they were KENTUCKY tickets....all I could think of was when should I be ready! I'm a huge UK fan! I mean HUGE! Then I was told they were playing against UNC at Chapel Hill....my husbands favorite team! So I guess you could say it was a very exciting game for the both of us! Kentucky did lose by quite a few points but that's okay I still screamed and cheered on my team! That's what real fans do! I'm pretty sure Adam was hoping I'd scream and cry...I'm not going to lie I wanted to but I have to say UNC is a really good team and if you haven't been to Chapel Hill it's an experience! I was truly impressed!

Thank you Adam for getting us the tickets to the game....although you were a sore winner! Just remember we'll be at Rupp arena in December! LOVE you!

Christmas part 1

We are in the Christmas spirit here in the Dwiggins household! We have been shopping til we drop! And I'm so proud to say I'm basically Done! I have one more gift to order for baby Garrett & then I have to shop for my husband! I would like to say that for all you woman who have been doing this for years you deserve a pat on the back! This is my first Christmas married so my husband and I are kind of starting from scratch from buying the decorations, bows and wrapping paper, to buying for both families our son & each other all on a budget! It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but it has been fun and we did the majority together which has been my favorite!

Out and about yesterday with the two BEST helpers a girl could ask for!
