We had the Best time with my Sister, Brother and Sister n law this week since we live so far away from everyone it was a Blast just spending quality time with all of them! Especially Garrett getting to play with his cousin Kaitlyn {& Ryan but he's still a baby so Garrett just kept giving him kisses} I'm so thankful I got to have the time I did with Kaitlyn & Ryan I really have missed them like crazy! My Step mom Linda planned a surprise getaway for my Dad's 56th Birthday and included all of his kids and their families! She rented a condo on Seista Key beach for a week and my sister flew down my Brother and his family live in Orlando and they drove down & last but not least Garrett & I flew down {we wish Adam could have come but he had to work...We Miss you Hun!} But we have had the Best time...The other night we went to a Japanese restaurant for Dad's birthday dinner and Garrett just had a Blast watching them cook in front of him and there's a couple pictures of the condo and the view of the ocean...Just Beautiful!

This was a 1st for both Garrett & I...well his 1st time flying on an airplane but my 1st time with a baby! But I have to say he did fantastic! No tears at all and he was the sweetest little boy!

Garrett was such a champ...we had to wait to be called back & he played with tons of kids {& played nice!} & when the nurse came out and called his name he said "Yea!" he just cracks me up! During his cleaning he was just the Best little boy he kept his mouth wide open and did everything the nurse asked...The Doctor then came to check on him and he gave me the Best report any mother would be so proud to get...NO cavities and that his teeth were perfectly separated and he was just the Best behaved little thing! You can say he makes me the Happiest Mama alive!

We took a trip to Ohio so that Garrett could have a little vacation with his Granny...it was a long needed trip for the both of them! But also it gives me time to finish my schooling up & I'll be taking my last exam and hopefully passing! If you would keep me in your prayers! Anyways...Garrett has been doing amazing ever since we found out he had pneumonia in his right lung! he's still couching a bit but the doctor said that is to be expected & called Garrett a little Champ! He is such a strong little boy!!! & thank you again for all your prayers!

Adam & I were extremely Blessed last year! Right after we got married we got the opportunity to live in a town home in South Charlotte for near nothing!!! We have had such a great LONG weekend! well I was sick for part of it but I feel great now! We have had a lot of family time & it's been wonderful! Walks pretty much everyday, playing with Garrett, running errands together! I've really enjoyed myself!

LM got a haircut! If you would let me brag for just a moment?!? He did so so so well...he sat in the hairstyling chair and didn't make a peep or move one bit! I have to say we were so so so thrilled!

For Garrett's B-day Daddy got Garrett this life size puzzle of Curious George {Monk Monk} and he & I put it together the other day and Daddy got the idea to hang it over his bed and that's just what we did this weekend...so now every time LM goes anywhere near his bed I hear"MONK-MONK Mama MONK-MONK!" I love that the smallest things make him so happy!

B-Day Recap...

My Birthday today was a Great one!!! There were some ups & downs throughout the day... I think because {like I said earlier} I'm just really not into this whole getting older thing...Well all day I kept asking myself "What have you done or accomplished in the past 24 years?" And I guess I didn't like the answer I was giving myself! Not sure if everyone goes through this or just me but I'm giving it to God & keeping myself alittle more accountable about setting goals for my self and following through with them.

But back to my Birthday RECAP...

I woke up this morning to breakfast in bed from my Adam...which was delicious {as is Everything he makes!} then I got to open ONE present before he went to work & I got a Kellie Pickler CD {I Love her!} then Garrett & I cleaned the house up, enjoyed some Zumba & put together a life size Curious George puzzle. When Daddy came home I was in our computer room and Garrett brought me up some roses & as I walked down stairs to the dinning room I kept finding more roses...very romantic! I then got to open the rest of my presents & I got a pink shirt that is adorable, a bracelet & necklace! OOhh...I almost forgot tons of balloons & the sweetest cards!!!

It was a lot of fun we just got done eating ribs & asparagus :delicious: & cake {Red velvet with cream cheese icing} :double delicious: & now I'm ready for bed!!!

But I want to thank my two amazing boys for helping me age yet another year older...but most importantly for loving me and being the Best husband & son a girl could ask for!!! Thanks*

Today is my 24th Birthday...Where has the time gone?!? It seems like yesterday I was graduating from High school, or giving birth to Garrett! I'm not one that really likes getting older but I have to say God has given me some pretty amazing years! And I'm excited to see what HE has in store for me this year!!!

Plus my MIL says the 30's are the Best years of your life so 30's here I come!!!

Like I've said many many times on here...we love and appreciate our families more then you can explain! Adam & I are so extremely Blessed to have so many people that love and care about our son! I know everyone is tired of seeing Birthday posts!!! I'm pretty sure this is the last one! But I wanted to share Garrett's actual Birthday with you and today Garrett got two more presents in the mail I'd like to put pictures up of them...so here we go!

We woke up early before Daddy had to go to work & made donuts...Garrett loves them! And at 10:07 AM we sang Happy Birthday to our now 2yr old!!!

Before we went to the park Nana brought over a present for Garrett and took us to the Cheesecake Factory for his Birthday lunch...it's was great but maybe next yr Garrett will actually sit through our entire lunch..{grin}

Garrett & Mama went to the park after he had his well needed Birthday NAP!

We have a lot more to do in the back...but the two big pots in front are now done...and it was FUN! Thanks Nana!

Today is my boy's 2nd Birthday...time flies!!! I swear it was like yesterday that I was meeting my precious boy for the first time! looking at his beautiful blue eyes and thinking to myself I could never love anything or anyone any more than I do at this very moment! I was wrong!These past few years I have fallen so much more madly in love with him...it's indescribable! The way he makes me laugh no one else can, the way he says mama makes me feel like the most important person in the world, the time we share each day is truly amazing...there is no other place I rather be! Yesterday we celebrated Garrett's 2nd Birthday! We had the party in Wilson, NC at Gran & Pa's house {thanks again Gran & Pa for letting us use your home for the party!} and had a great turn out!!! We had another great Easter this year!!! We went to Wilson to celebrate our RISEN Christ with Gran & Pa, Nana, Poppy & Uncle Eric, Aunt HaHa, Zach & Gracie, Aunt Terry & Uncle Greg. It was so great this year because Garrett is finally at the age where he really enjoys all the fun things we try to do like color eggs, participate in the Easter egg hunt, open everything the Easter Bunny left him! We had tons of fun today on Daddy's day off! He took us to go see Monsters vs. Aliens and it was so cute & funny! Adam & I really enjoyed it! This was Garrett's very first visit to the movie theater so we got him a drink & some M &M's {his favorite} like a big boy! He did pretty good! He let me hold him for the most part because he was still to little to sit on the chairs....when we sat him down on the chair the chair would fold up with him in it! {grin} It was funny but towards the end he wasn't happy he wanted to get down and run around!!!! So Daddy took him out for a min or two to calm down...

My Uncle owns a photography studio & lab so he does pictures with the Easter bunny, Santa & he does pictures at Halloween....So while we were in town he took some pictures of Garrett for his Birthday and my sister went and put on the bunny suit and we did some shots of Garrett & the bunny.

Garrett really seemed to enjoy the bunny....

then not so much!

We decided to take another one of our trips to Ohio to visit with Granny and my sister was in town so it was the perfect time! We had the worst drive up there I think we've had in a long time it rained the whole time, we left in the middle of the night and Adam & myself got so tired. But with all that "Little Man" still managed to entertain us!

I hope everyone has had a fun St. Paddy's day! I have to be honest I completely forgot all about it!!! I got up this morning and got Garrett ready to spend the day with his Nana & Poppy and the poor guy didn't even have green on....what kind of a mother am I...{grin} I heard when Adam dropped him off Nana pinched him for the lack of green...Sorry Garrett I'll try to remember next year!

He did come home with a little green all over his face & hands from the dye of the cookies & wore out!

I'm just glad Nana was on her game! She made a St. Paddy's Day dinner and had green chicken & green mashed potatoes & Garrett and her made sugar cookies with green dye{they were delicious by the way} and Garrett brought home green milk in his bottle!

The cookies Garrett & Nana made were so good there was only one left and as soon as I took the picture Adam ate it! Thanks so much I can tell Garrett had a great day!

So far this week has been long and boring! Adam is still in search for a new job so if you would keep him in your prayers I know it's hard & stressful on him! But with all the extra stress Adam & I have started reading! I love it so far I've read 1 book this week and I've started on my second! Beside reading we are planning another trip to Ohio soon & most importantly we're planning a 2nd birthday party for our little man! {A Curious George party to be exact so I've been seeing monkey's daily it seems...that kinda inspired my blog background!}

Can you believe that this little precious gift from God is going to turn 2 in April...WoW how time flys when your having fun!

{& last but not least}

The last time we were in Wilson visiting Gran & Pa...Gran gave me the idea to make Garrett some jello but use the cookie cutters and make shapes for him to handle better. I guess I should have know to do that but it truly hadn't crossed my mind so today we made some so incredibly easy and so cute & fun!

& Garrett just loved them! I can't wait for the weather to get warmer again...because these would be great to snack on while were outside!

A Day With The Dwiggins...

We had a ton of fun today just hanging out as a family! Adam took off early this morning to run some errands and went to a couple places about a job so we're crossing our fingers! And then when he came home we decided to play outside!!! Garrett's favorite fun activity always starts with outside or "SIDE" as he calls it! We played with funky sidewalk chalk...well I started then Garrett joined in but Adam finished it!

Not at the moment at least! So we came home and went to the park instead...another of Garrett's favorites! { this seemed to be a Garrett day for sure!}

Our trip to Wilson & Meadow NC

Since Adam is in the search for a new job we thought while we have the time to visit some family this would probably be the best time so Wednesday we headed towards Wilson to visit with Gran & Pa and we had a blast! And then Friday night we headed over to Meadow to visit with Aunt HaHa, Gracie & Zack where Garrett played til he couldn't play anymore! Now here's our visits in pictures {there's a lot bare with me!}

My Valentines

I have the two most amazing boys to call my Valentines! They are too good to me! Garrett has had so much fun this Valentine's making desserts with mommy and Nana! Garrett brought mommy & daddy our Valentine's home Thursday after spending the day with his Nana....we got homemade cards {my Favorite :grin:} and they made us homemade Red Velvet cupcakes! Oh my were they delicious!

Thank you, Thank you Garrett! Mommy & Daddy Love them! {this has to be my favorite age!}

Then yesterday Garrett helped me in the kitchen and we made daddy fortune cookies....tons of fun but not sure I did them just right! My fortunes kinda got stuck in the cookies {But I learned my lesson USE thicker paper!} We also made daddy's favorite chocolate covered strawberries with almonds! I always do some just chocolate so Garrett can have some but we found some red sprinkles for Valentine's and he sprinkled them I wish I took a picture. It was the cutest thing! Both recipes are here!Also yesterday Daddy got roses sent to his work from Garrett & I...I'm pretty sure he was surprised!

I have to say I have been pumped for a while to take Garrett to Chuck E Cheese and this weekend we finally did! And he had a Great time! Aunt Georgi & Uncle Eric came along with us and all had a wonderful time! Garrett was so funny... when we let him walk around because there was so much to do...my poor little guy kinda looked confused! But we played in the toddler area...riding in cars, playing the little boy games, climbing all over this activity center! He loved it!

That quickly changed when he saw other kids!

*Sunday was full of fun things! After Chuck E Cheese Adam & I had to run to Concord mills to return a hat I bought him for Christmas that was to big....but while we were there I had a gift card for build- a -bear workshop I got for Garrett at a baby shower {2 years ago} and I wasn't sure they would even accept it...but they did so Adam & I helped Garrett stuff an elephant! It was so fun and the elephant is adorable....I recommend making one if you haven't!

We just got home from visiting my dad and step mom in Sarasota Fl. We left around 12:30 AM Thursday morning on our long 11 hour drive and got there around 11 that morning.

{ there is a lot to this post so bare with me!}

excited while we {Adam} were getting the car all packed and started driving!

The drive really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Adam drove first then we switched { of course me with NO sleep....I think I was too excited to sleep} Once we got into Florida I started to feel horrible { I really think I had a stomach virus the first day!}

Now of course I have a funny story of my comedian 20 month old son! Once I started feeling bad Adam suggested I needed to eat something so we drove thur a Burger King to get breakfast {Garrett was asleep when we pulled into BK but once we started ordering we heard him clapping in the backseat! Ha} anyways we ate... and we got a little lost right around my dad's neighborhood so Garrett was starting to get a little fussy so I handed him the BK bag our food came in to keep him occupied.......

I guess you can say it did the job.....Adam & I were basically crying because we were laughing so hard! { I think he looks like the pope!}

Anyways we made it to my dad's and rested for a little while and then my dad took us all to the beach were Garrett had the time of his life!

Garrett & grandpa had so much fun together!!!

Garret had sand everywhere! It took forever to get all the sand out of everything!

After all our fun at the beach we kinda just lay ed around until Nana Linda came home and we had a great dinner. After that grandpa & Nana took Garrett and us shopping! Garrett got new sippy cups and diapers and shoes...anything a big boy could ask for! Thanks again!

When we got home it was Christmas at Grandpa's & Nana's! Garrett got so much nice stuff! He got a cute track suit, a chicken flashlight...that makes noises, cars, a car blanket, books, a tooth fairy pillow, bath toys, an A B C caterpillar, a golf set! He had a blast! Dad & Linda thank you again for the money Adam & I appreciate it a lot!

The next day we all got up and Nana Linda made us a big breakfast and we got ready and went to Jungle Gardens! It's kinda like a zoo they had birds, turtles, monkey's {Garrett's favorite}, crocodile's, snakes! It was really cool and I think Garrett enjoyed it...I know I did!

After our long adventures in the jungle dad & Linda took us out to one of my favorite restaurant's the Bonefish! {Thanks again it was Yummy!} And then grandpa & Nana babysat Garrett while Adam & I went out for drinks afterwards!

Thanks for such a Great trip Grandpa & Nana! We can't wait til we can come back and visit! We love you!

Wordless Wednesday....sorta

Garrett was helping me make the bed the other day and in the middle of making the bed I turned around to put some of the other laundry away and I swear it wasn't but 10 mins and to my surprise I found Garrett asleep just like this! I thought he was playing so I'm saying "where's Garrett" expecting him to pop his head up with a big smile on his face and instead I hear snoring!(YES, that precious little boy snores something fierce) I couldn't believe it! I've never seen him sleep like that or fall asleep so fast!

I couldn't let him sleep like that so I got his monk monk pillow and rolled him over....and I swear he didn't even move! I believe we have another growth spurt!

Our do NOTHING weekend!

I have had a pretty good New Year's so far I have really been sticking to my diet with a couple mess ups but I'm proud of myself! And Adam God bless him is hanging in there with his (I love you!). And all Garrett's been doing is playing & being sweet! Well our weekend was a pretty non-productive one except we did go to uncle Eric's indoor soccer game where he won!!!! That was fun! But Garrett and Adam really haven't been feeling that great so we decided to have a "do nothing" weekend! Except of course I did still do some school and clean but that's everyday for me it's kinda a habit now! Garrett played, we went on a walk, daddy watched football, then we all cheered on Kentucky... but they still lost! So I guess I can say I had a relaxing weekend.

Garrett decided he wasn't going to take a nap on Sunday so right after the Kentucky game he crashed!

*Just a little note...my In-laws got Adam & I a devotional book to do together with the start of the new year and one devotion that has kinda stuck with me is 1 Corinthians 12:21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you" the title is I NEED YOU and basically it goes on the say how often do you actually say these three words to your spouse...and if you did what an affect it would have on your marriage! It really hit home with me, I guess I never really thought about telling Adam I need him....I Do very much so I'm going to start letting him know how much he is needed in my life! I thought maybe someone else could use that little bit of scripture today like I did!*
